Reincarnation??

Somewhere in  the world, this is what Spring looks like.

This is what it looked like at the beginning of April in South Dakotaland.
& what a wild weather roller coaster ride we have had, with extreme winds,
snow showers, that produced,

& some extreme cold!
😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

But then some beautiful days of sunshine & calm brought our first Spring flowers. 😊
I know, milder weather states have scattered spots of Tulips, Daffodils, Irises, & Crocuses, but these little harbingers of
!!!!
are very welcome to me & bring bright & happy color to our somewhat barren landscape. & promise, a preview of things to come! I see them as little jewels of encouragement. & as this month has been filled with volatile-ness ( I know, no such word. But it should be don't you think? 😲) encouragement is very welcome! Like, the frequent changeableness in temperature brought fits of lower back pain, so if I had to walk without a cane, I looked like Quasimoto! ("The bells, the bells...!!!! 😫)
Also, health challenges (biopsy, CT Scan, blood tests, all the waiting, waiting, waiting, which gives the devil opportunity to be the artist on your imagination, but good time to fight the good fight of faith!! & all tests were negative Praise the Lord!)

A welcome little Spring gift! A Silver-laced Wyandotte chick. My daughter has become a chicken mini rancher, about three dozen chicks so far. Wow! That's a lot of names to pick out! πŸ” & hoping they are all girls! & only for eggs. No frying pan future for these kids!!
Now, about the subject at hand.
I have been doing a lot of reading over these mostly cold early Spring days & I have discovered an authoress that I have recognized as a kindred spirit. Her name is Sarah Ban Breathnach. I have loved reading her book
"Peace & Plenty".
Her humor, pluckiness, tenacity, all in a feminine & womanly style are an inspiration to me. Even her thoughts on reincarnation. Yes, I do believe in reincarnation. Whoa, whoa, wait a minute! WHAT?? I DO believe in reincarnation.
But let's look at the definition.

Reincarnation:
"Rebirth, a new version of something from the past."

Remember in the book of John, chapter 3 & Jesus is talking to Nicodemus about being born again. This was naturally mystifying to Nicodemus. At first. Then, as he began to follow Jesus, he began to get revelation as to what it meant to be 'born again'.
"Behold, if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creation. (Rebirth)
Old things are passed away; behold ALL things are become NEW. (A new version of something from the past.) 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Now, although my past is the 'old me', it doesn't define me anymore. When I ask Jesus to be the Lord of my life, He actually lives His life through me. That means, we are One. So, reincarnation really does encapsulate my identity. I am truly a new me. It's me in Jesus & Jesus in me. Reborn. Born again. Who would ever choose something so paltry as the world's definition of 'reincarnation' if it did exist? when instead we could have the 'reincarnation' or 'reborn-ness' (another non-word πŸ˜‰! Except in heart!)  of Jesus in me? in you? A new me! & we don't have to die to get it! We can have it in the here & now, not the hereafter. We don't need any old 'doesn't exist anyway' reincarnation. We can have the best, richest, most fulfilling, joyful life right here on planet earth. & this is the only time any of us have. No second chance in another life either. This is it. But this is enough.
Reincarnation??
Well, it depends on how you define it.
As for me, I'm not taking any chances.
I'll take born again. According to Jesus. New me, new life, new...
Everything...

Raintree Perk of the Day:
"I am not who I was yesterday.
For Jesus called my name, & I am not the same..."
