 Inside Out

Independence Day celebration!! One of my favorites!

Love it!!

It's so much fun to decorate for holiday celebrations! This year especially, this holiday especially. Yes, there are many things wrong in our beautiful America, but faithful hearts will see her restored to her former beauty. & then some! As a matter of fact, faithful hearts who love her will be the ones who bring the restoration to make her once again, the City on a Hill. Unfaithful hearts who were once faithful, have made the breach by doing nothing to stop the evil that has staked it's claim, hence:

"The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

See, we can still be Christians & yet have unfaithful hearts. Toward each other, toward our country, toward God.

The Lord recently told me that when He said go into all the world & preach the gospel, He wasn't just talking about geographically. We are to go into our world, which is our sphere of influence, whether it is in education, media, religion, business, government & 'preach the gospel', stake our claim by bringing the government of Jesus into that sphere.

"...& the government shall be upon His shoulders."  Isaiah 9:6

But how many of us as Christians have stayed in our little "church only" cubicles & forsaken our true, albeit diversified, callings of going out into our worlds, thus MAKING the breach that has allowed all manner of evil, which has transformed our country, our world, into the devil's image.

Let me quote a scripture which may seem to have nothing to do with the subject here.

"Work out your own salvation with fear & trembling."  Philippians 2:12

Through Jesus' death & resurrection & our acceptance of Him into our hearts & lives, He brings salvation. He worked in salvation. Now, it's up to us to work it out of us. We take that salvation & apply it to our sphere of influence, whereby bringing restoration & redeeming, recovering that sphere for His kingdom. His kingdom coming to His people so that His will can be done through His people.  So, we become the "Repairers of the Breach", the breach that we made by our complacency, apathy, compromise, laziness, selfishness (sounds like the traits of our arch-enemy doesn't it?). But the Lord is very gracious in holding us accountable by letting us be part of the 'Redemption Plan'. We caused the breach in our world by the sins of OMISSION, by not taking the responsibility that Jesus passed on to us at His death on the cross, & by the way, empowered us to do. "Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world." & because He did, through this great salvation, we can too! It is not too late. Yet. & shouldn't we have the responsibility of fixing what we broke by the aforesaid sins of omission? Yes! We are to be the "Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In." Isaiah 58:12

Let me quote the rest of the scripture in Philippians 2:13

"For it is God who works in you both to will & to do for His good pleasure."

So, we are to will & to do what pleases Him by working out what He has worked in, or, living out the salvation He worked in, in one of the ongoing processes of redeeming our world, & for us who live in America,  that means our nation. We need the heart of Ezra.

"...but He extended mercy to us...to revive us, to repair the house (or nation!) of our God, to rebuild its ruins & to give us a wall..."

He revived us to repair, to rebuild our America. & with Jesus, we got this!! by working our  'inside' to the 'outside'. Inside out!

Raintree Perk of the Day:
"So we built the wall....for the people had a mind to work...the walls of Jerusalem (in our case AMERICA) were being restored & the gaps (breach) were beginning to be closed."  Nehemiah 4
